Greek Life at Southern Illinois University Carbondale
Welcome to Southern Illinois University Carbondale! The Greek community at Southern has been in existence since 1923, with a continuing tradition of excellence. Through the years, we have been a community that fosters academic excellence, leadership ability, philanthropic services, and active contributions to both the campus and Carbondale communities. Each organization maintains its own activities, traditions, and national affiliations; each is founded on similar principles of scholarship, leadership, community service, and lifelong friendship. We encourage you to take a few minutes to browse through this webpage and to consider why more than 800,000 college students nationwide have chosen to become members of Greek organizations.
